William's Wishes

Our Mission

William's Wishes seeks to seed the development of new faith-based Health Ministries and Parish Nurse (also called Faith Community Nurse) programs, and to provide sustainability for those faith-based Health Ministries and Parish Nurse programs who are desirous of expanding the scope of their ministries.  Through this mission, William's Wishes hopes to increase the number of individuals who receive the benefits of such programs and experience wholeness in mind, body, and spirit even when a cure may not be available.

Hands of Health Grant

AT THIS TIME NO GRANTS ARE BEING AWARDED DUE TO THE INSTABILITY OF THE STOCK MARKET AND THE FACT THAT THIS FOUNDATION IS FUNDED ON DIVIDENDS FROM AN ENDOWMENT.  PLEASE CONTINUE TO CHECK BACK - WE WILL AGAIN BEGIN AWARDING GRANTS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Hands of Health Grants are grants of any amount up to $1000 offered to faith-based, non-profit, non-denominational organizations who are either starting new Health Ministries, or are needing funds to sustain a project within already-established Health Ministries.  To apply for a grant, click on the Grant Application tab at the top of this page.

About Us

William's Wishes understands the importance of health in mind, body, and spirit.  We know that when one area is unhealthy, it affects the others and overall health is then an issue.  We know that support during a crisis of health in mind, body, or spirit is critical and we have seen the benefit of the support of Parish Nurse programs and Health Ministries.  It is our wish to promote such programs in faith-based, non-profit organizations.

About Faith Community Nursing

Faith Community Nursing is a unique, specialized practice of professional nursing which focuses on the promotion of health within the context of the values, beliefs, and practices of a faith community – this includes the church and it’s ministries to its members, as well as the community in which it is located. Health is viewed not only as the absence of disease, but as a sense of physical, social, psychological and spiritual well-being. Healing is the process of integrating the body, mind and spirit to create wholeness, health, and a sense of well-being, even when a cure does not occur.
